All Alone             DeMille/ St. Pierre

Chorus:        Don't take your love to the streets dear

We took a vow we'd never part

You promised me you'd never leave me

Now I'm all alone with a broken heart

You were runnin' wild when I first met you

You walked the streets midnight to dawn

Lookin' for love in nameless faces

I wanted you to be my own

You said you tired of your old life

You swore to me on the day we wed

All other men you would forsake them

And spend your life with me instead

A few years past and your eyes wandered

Out all night away from home

They buy your love I pay the price dear

Your back in town I'm all alone

Call Him on the Phone             Ted DeMille

Jesus is my teacher I learned the golden rule

The bible is my primer and the chapel is my school

When I'm feeling lonely, broke down and all alone

I need to talk to Jesus so I call him on the phone

Chorus:            Hello central can you hear me?

Give me Jesus on the line

I'm out here at the crossroads

And I finally dropped a dime

                           Long distance information

                           My call is overdue

I've been a long time listener

And I finally made it through

Jesus is my shepard on the lost highway

He is the true redeemer when I slip and go astray

When I'm feeling lonely and out here on my own

I've got my savior's number and I call him on the phone

Jesus is my captain out on the rolling sea

I'm seeking heaven's harbor where I'll live eternally

When the waves break higher and the wind it howls and moans

I need to talk to Jesus and I call him on the phone

As you travel life's highway

A compass for your soul

When you're stranded at the crossroads

And don't know which way to go

And read the next edition

Of the daily gospel news

He's Waiting For You            DeMille/ Huntington

Chorus:    Go down to the water and give yourself over

The captain is sending his heavenly crew

They'll show you the way on that glorious day

Jesus is ready He's waiting for you

There's a river that's rollin' it runs by your door

And the river will take you to a far-away shore

Where the angels are waiting to welcome you there

In the land of forgiveness you never need fear

The great ship is leaving with a touch of his hand

The captain will take you to the bright Promised Land

Your crossing is guided by a beautiful dove

And soon you'll be anchored in the harbor of love

You'll awake in the morning your journey is done

You'll walk in the light of a beautiful sun

And they'll be no more sorrow no heartache or woe

Jesus is waiting are you ready to go?

Indian Summer      Ted DeMille/Simon Huntington

On a rocky shore high above the sand

near an emerald sea and an old pine stand

on a bit of ground Daddy worked to clear

summer's hanging on a little while this year

Chorus:    It's an Indian Summer you can feel the sun

sittings' on the porch when the work is done

I can smell a little supper feel a cooling breeze

It's the winter wind waiting in the tall pine trees

I got a little more done than I thought I might

And if the weather holds it'll be all right

'Cause the winter is long and the time is near

but summer's hanging on a little while this year

In the darkest hour of the winter chill

I remember the call of the whippoorwill

On the evening breeze her song I hear

And summer's hanging on a little while this year

Let A Little Heaven In Your Soul          DeMille/ Huntington

Chorus:    Hold on a little tighter

              Stand a little closer

Get a little stronger before you go

Take a little longer

Try a little harder

Let a little heaven in your soul

If you lie awake at night

And you can't tell wrong from right

If you're standing at the crossroads

With your troubles in your hand

If you fear you've lost your way

At the ending of the day

If you feel your life is more than you can stand (Chorus)

Do you feel love's passed you by

Do you walk alone and cry

Has your life become a hard and heavy

Cross for you to bear

Are your worries closing in

Is your future looking dim

Are you broken down and driven by despair (Chorus)

Long Stretch of Highway              Ted DeMille/Rick Lang

I rolled in early from a week on the road

I thought I'd surprise you so I never called

When I pulled in the driveway something didn't seem right

I saw the car of a stranger next to yours in the night

I looked in the window I heard soft music play

You were standing together in a loving embrace

My body was shaking I fell to my knees

There's a long stretch of highway between you and me

I'll follow this highway as long as it goes

Just where I'll wind up God only knows

And the tears in my eyes make it so hard to see

There's a long stretch of highway between you and me

I'm driving and thinking but I can't understand

How you could take comfort with some other man

But it don't really matter what's done is done

I'll just cut my loses and keep moving on

I'm hugging the shoulder of this long lonesome road

Just where I'll wind up nobody knows

These tears in my eyes make it so hard to see

There's a long stretch of highway between you and me

There's a long stretch of highway between you and me

     Low Down             DeMille/ Lange

Chorus:        Low down low down you're makin' me blue

Checkin' up on you baby I got the goods on you

We'll I had it in mind to forget about the past

But the low down is our love will never last

Well you tell me one thing then you go and do another

One little white lie after the other

I got friends out there who still care about me

They opened up my eyes and help me to see

There's talk on the street and it's all about you

It hurts me to think what their sayin' is true

They say you're seein' someone else

And you're just stringin' me along

And I wonder how long it's been goin' on

Midnight Train      Ted DeMille/Simon Huntington

Chorus:    Midnight Train rollin' down the track

Took you away gonna bring you back

Midnight train rollin' down the line

Comin' back to Maine up from Caroline

Those were the best years I ever had

You took my heart you took it bad

North Carolina she called your name

And you went away on the midnight train

You know I tried to understand

You were my darlin' I was your man

I know you wanted me to explain

But you went away on the midnight train

I got your letter you wrote to say

You were comin' home you been too long away

Your coming home I call your name

When I hear the sound of the midnight train

The Beautiful Hall             Ted DeMille/Rick Lang

There's a beautiful place so I've been told

Where the music's played on harps of gold

Heavenly songs that never end

In the beautiful hall of the angel band

You can walk right in and hear them play

At the break of dawn and at dusk of day

When the angels raise their voice to sing

It sounds so sweet it makes the heavens ring

Chorus:            When we cross over to the other side

On the wings of angels we will ride

Just follow the sound at the rainbows end

To the beautiful hall of the angel band

And with each song they sing God's praise

How Great Thou Art and Amazing Grace

You can watch the saints go marching in

To the beautiful hall of the angel band

When the Lupines Line the Lane       Ted DeMille/Rick Lang

There's a little weathered cottage

On a hillside by the sea

Sometimes I go back there in my dreams

Where the fields of purple flowers

Blossom in the spring

I can almost see them

Dancing in the breeze

Chorus:   When the lupines line the lane

              I'll be comin' back again

To rest my weary feet back on that sandy soil

Where the flowers grow so tall

              Around the old rock wall

When the lupines line the lane

              I'm comin' home

I miss that white haired lady

Who once held me on her knee

How I long to hear her voice again

And I'd walk right beside her

As she'd toss those tiny seeds

And watch them floating gently on the wind

I still recall the last words that she said to me

I know I'll carry with me to my grave

And just like her I'm comin' back to live down by the sea

And make the world more beautiful some day

The Carpenter's Prayer       Eddie Carr, of Southern Junction band

He stood at the threshold of heaven on high

A carpenter's hammer and a saw at his side

The clothes on his shoulders were threadbare and worn

And his old leather apron was empty and torn

As he entered the gates of the great evermore

His eyes filled with tears as he looked to the door

But there at the mansion so perfect and right

Stood the Great Master Builder in his glorious light

And the Lord said, "You've come to my home up above

Built on the foundation of heavenly love

This hall of devotion is endless and wide

And it's sheltered eternal by an unclouded sky."

The carpenter bowed to the Great Master's call

And laid to the side his old hammer and saw

He welled with emotions no words he could say

So he fell to his knees and he humbly prayed

"Oh Great Master Builder of heaven and earth

I'm just an old craftsman of no mortal worth

Your beautiful mansion so perfect and true

What work would you have an old carpenter do?"

And the Lord said "You've served me through all of your years

Your faith has endured all the trials and tears

You sheltered the homeless with the gifts of your trade

And you've honored the Savior in all that you've made.

Now rise up before me and come take my hand

I'll show you my promise of a glorious land

Lay down your old apron for your labors are through

Come home to this mansion that I've built here for you."
